Description of Company / Organisation

Cleddau King has been operating since 2000, providing SCUBA diving and fishing trips for clubs and groups. The boat is operated by Alun Lewis and partner Sarah Hoss, who also run sightseeing, wildlife and pleasure cruises. A recent addition to their service is their scheduled river cruises from Milford to Haverfordwest.

The boat is disabled friendly with wheelchair access. The boat has a Category 2 licence. The company also services, manufactures and inspects boat moorings throughout the haven. The business is based at Landshipping, where the operators live.

The Cleddau King is the official flagship for the Pembroke River Rally and is chartered by the Haverfordwest Town Council for the annual Beating of the Bounds.

Cleddau King, named after the famous ferryboat, which used to shuttle people in the days before the Cleddau Bridge, is a Cyfish 40 feet motor cruiser, with a 23 feet long 12 feet wide, open deck ideal for fishing and SCUBA diving.

It is a fast, stable boat, designed for comfortable cruising and powered by a 450bhpVolvo Penta engine.

The large deck provides ample space for sitting or accommodating equipment for a safe enjoyable trip for sightseeing, taking photographs and having a drink and packed lunch in comfort.
A unique feature of the Cleddau King is the hydraulic diver lift, for safe, effortless sea exits. The Cleddau King is equipped with RADAR, Fish/Wreckfinder, GPS Chart Plotter, DGPS Chart Plotter, GMDSS VHF Radio, portable VHF and full safety/First Aid equipment.

The boat is wheelchair-accessible and is licensed for 12 passengers and 2 crew up to 60 miles from safe haven.
